02 / 06
Ask whether you are exploring company-level participation or one identified project. Confirm the legal entity, instrument and actual rights before considering a proposal; a project shareholding and direct plot ownership are different.
Request the information in writing. If no defined opportunity is available, your enquiry remains an expression of interest and should not lead to a payment.

Arrange a site visit where relevant. Compare the actual location and visible work with the records and layout. Ask your independent property lawyer to assess title, permissions, encumbrances and the proposed documents. Use a tax or financial adviser for cost and suitability questions.

Request the total amount, payment stages, fees, taxes, expected use of funds, reporting arrangements and exit conditions. Clarify who bears cost overruns or delays, whether more money could be required, and how disputes would be handled.

Resolve material questions first. Have the agreement independently reviewed and confirm the authorised signatories and payee. Use the agreed banking route and retain receipts. Do not rely on a verbal return promise or transfer money simply because someone uses the GADTAN name.

For any completed transaction, keep the signed documents, payment trail and agreed reporting schedule. Know the contact for updates and escalation. Your ongoing rights, responsibilities and exit options come from the applicable law and agreement.
